Church of Jesus Christ: Come Forth! Stand Up! Speak Up!
In June 2019, The voice of the Lord woke me up at 6 AM with these startling words, “MY CHURCH IS DEAD!”
I stood up immediately and walked to the living room to inquire of the Lord why He would make such a statement.
His response was, “Any body ‘non-response’ to stimulus, a doctor will declare dead! My Church is non-responsive to the abounding sins around Her and to my voice. It is as if…She’s dead.”
As Christian citizens we must become responsive to sin and sensitive to God’s voice to shed those grave clothes (spirit of intimidation) and come forth boldly in this specific hour.
We are the only salt and light in this world! The salt must be broadcast and our light must be brightly shining into the darkness.
Mathew 5:13 “You are the salt of the earth but if the salt have lost have savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under the feet of men.”(sounds like a grave, right!?)
[“Salt” is a Type of the Word of God; the professing Believer who no longer holds to the Word is of no usefulness to God or man.]
This explains why such a multitude of Christians are depressed, unfulfilled, without the joy of the Lord, focused on issues and not solutions, and holdup inside the four walls is the Church. Any Church without windows and doors to shine the light and broadcast the salt is none the less… a tomb.
As grateful children of our Lord, who gave His life for us, has told us that we are to be “the salt of the earth.” That applies not only to our private lives as individual Christians but also to our civic lives as Christians.
As salt, we are to help preserve the health of our nation; we are to help prevent the spread of corruption. Many sincere believers feel uncomfortable when it comes to taking part in governmental affairs.
This is due, in many cases, to a lifelong misconception of the idea of “separation of Church and state.” The Christian is not only a practicing member of his church, he is (or should be) a practicing member of his community, and his nation. Having rendered unto God the things that are God’s he must also discharge his rightful obligations to the community in which he lives.
How desperately our nation needs the salt of Christian witness and action! Dishonesty, greed, profanity, divorce, and sins of sexual impurity are all about us. In concert with other God-fearing citizens we are to do all within our power to stay the spread of moral decay with threatens out land. Salt that is not applied is worthless.
We are to pray, to speak, to work for the welfare of the land we love. Are we doing that?
Whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God!
Church, let’s roll! Let’s mobilize!
